Djoković Syrah 2021 is a dry red wine from Serbia, produced from 100% Syrah grapes. The nose is dominated by aromas of ripe black fruits such as raspberry and blueberry, with earthy, floral, and spicy notes, as well as light smoky notes from the barrel. Medium to full-bodied, with round tannins and intense black fruit, light spice, and smoky notes.
At first glance, there may not seem to be an obvious connection between the inner world of fine wine production and the competitive world of tennis. But when we look a little deeper, we can see that they share certain common characteristics—among them, passion, perseverance, and a determination to produce the best possible results. These are certainly the qualities applied by Goran Dokjovic, uncle of the world’s most famous tennis star, applies to the wines he produces from Syrah and Chardonnay grapes grown in his vineyard near Topola, in the Šumadija wine-producing region of central Serbia.
