P.G.I. Peloponnese
Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Agiorgitiko
Aged for 13 months in new French oak barriques.
The color is deep, clear purple with ruby highlights. The nose is intense, full of density and freshness due to the vegetal character of Cabernet Franc. Ripe fruit (red berries, red cherries, and ripe strawberries) along with sweet aromas of chocolate, cinnamon, cedar, and subtle oak. The palate is full-bodied, with rich extract, alcohol that balances the pronounced acidity and ripe, dense tannins. The flavors on the palate faithfully follow those on the nose, with the fruit even more pronounced. The finish has length, volume, and complexity.
AGEING POTENTIAL : 15 years
FOOD PAIRING : rich meats, dishes with red sauces, aged cheeses
